Small Sensor Head, Separate Electronics Box
Big in Performance

The optris CTi is a high-performance industrial pyrometer designed for precise non-contact temperature measurement in demanding manufacturing environments. This compact infrared temperature sensor combines proven pyrometer technology with modern connectivity features, making it ideal for industrial automation and process control applications.

Built on a reliable and trusted platform, the CTi pyrometer features an innovative modular two-piece design that allows any electronics box to pair seamlessly with any IR sensing head without compromising measurement accuracy. This modular pyrometer architecture enables rapid sensor head exchange and simplified maintenance procedures, while maintaining outstanding accuracy on temperature measurements.

The ruggedized sensing head operates reliably in ambient temperatures up to 250°C without requiring additional cooling systems, making this industrial pyrometer suitable for harsh manufacturing environments. Despite its ultra-compact design—featuring one of the smallest infrared sensor heads in its class—the CTi delivers exceptional optical performance with up to 75:1 optical resolution for precise spot temperature measurement. Besides the integrated USB-C interface for fast commissioning, the pyrometer offers versatile analog outputs including selectable 0/4–20 mA, 0–5 V, 0–10 V, and thermocouple type K signals. Advanced digital communication options include EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Ethernet TCP/Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, IO-Link, Modbus RTU, RS485, and RS232 interfaces, plus dual isolated relay outputs for seamless industrial network integration and temperature control applications.

CTi LT — General-Purpose Pyrometer
for Diverse Materials

The pyrometer optris CTi LT is equipped with one of the world’s smallest infrared sensors with a high optical resolution of 22:1. Additionally, it offers a high variability due to selectable analog outputs as well as several digital interfaces in the electronics box and a built-in USB interface.

The pyrometer optris CTi LThot has been developed for the most extreme conditions in high-temperature areas and is acclaimed for its especially high-temperature resistance. Employment of the infrared thermometer in ambient temperatures of up to 250 °C without additional cooling poses absolutely no problems.
